My boyfriend is from the St. John's area, and when we were visiting NL for a few days, we took a drive out to this spot. It was very quaint with an old school diner vibe. They had a great selection of sorbets, ice cream, milkshakes, soft serve ice cream, sundaes, and other dairy treats. The premises in the restaurant are wheelchair accessible and can also be used with a wheelchair or physical disabilities, Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and be served.

What User doesn't like about Berg's Famous Ice Cream:
The ice cream is no greater than what you would get anywhere else but it is more expensive. Usually a long line-up and the place doesn't look too clean. I find McDonalds ice cream tastes better and not so expensive. read more.

"This restaurant is a must if you're in this area! You have to try the food here!! The prices are really fair, it's not too expensive. The portion sizes are great too, lots of food! It's definitely a great deal. My girlfriend and I both had large plates of food. We were stuffed and the bill only came to $25 before tip! The food is also just mouthwatering! It's so delicious, anything you can try here will be good! I've never been disappointed! Definitely come here if you can!"
