Very suitable position for fishing, by the sea. The dishes taste fresh. We served the carp rose with onions and toast, which is the most ordered starter. I recommend the fish are very light. Excellent services, delicious food. I recommend fish soups that are delicious!!! Yummy... The location is beautiful and pleasant, in the style of a fisherman, near the sea. Feel great!
This journey started before we arrived at Cherhana Pontica, when we called to book a table and we asked if they have flounder (cambula) in the menu. Very few fish restaurants have this dish in the menu. They confirmed they will have it for us if we come to them. And there was flounder (cambula) reserved for us when we got there. It was good that we called to book a table few days before, as the restaurant is very busy especially in weekend days. We were greeted by Cristina, a very nice waitress, who informed us from the moment we arrived that she will take care of our desires. Which she actually did in a very nice and polite manner. We recommend her as she is totally client oriented, with an attitude of 5 stars. Also we never expected to have beer served in freezed glasses in a fish restaurant. They do! The food which was great, the special way we were treated and also the view made us come again the next day, although it was not in our plan. We spent lunch and dinner there. We would have appreciated more attention to toilets, as toilet paper missed one time, but this was a minor issue probably caused by traffic. We will gladly return to Cherhana Pontica!
I reserved a table for 7pm to dine with friends and my small child. We arrived and were seated quickly. The waiter suggested that we order the platters, which we did. We ordered our food and drinks around 7:15 and at 8:40pm and after asking multiple times our food came. As you can imagine at this point, we were hungry and the when the waiter brought us our food said ‘don’t you want it to be cooked properly?!’ I have no experience of grilling octopus but I know it doesn’t take over an hour to do so, or maybe that’s why it tasted so rubbery?! We of course were en outages to drink more, but we were wise to their plan. A friend asked for a jack Daniels a single shot, yet she was brought a double. Other tables that arrived after us, received their food in good time even ordering the same platters as us! Truly disappointed by the experience, no apology and no ‘free drinks’ maybe they were trying to squeeze as much money out of the foreigners as possible, we were wise to their plan and left a minimum tip.
