We loved this private beach located in Northern Mamaia because it's quiet and we could watch the kids play safely in the sand. It's a great beach for families with children! The restaurant is serving great fresh seafood and the service is excellent (dessert was on the house!). Just imagine having your feet in the warm sand while drinking cold wine, serving today's fish (really tasty!) from the Black Sea - stunnning at... View all feedback.
What Iuliana Dumitrascu doesn't like about Plaja Rapana:
We have nice first dish of chicken soup and home made noodles and a fisherman's soup. Those were the pluses of this location. The down points were the high prices for the second fish&calamari dishes. The calamaris were supermarket precooked :( Overall this looks and feels like a backgammon near beach bar and terrace with prices to match. View all feedback.
We had a lot of food experiences in Romania or overseas but here in Rapana Mamaia Nord beach you can feel the taste of fresh fish and sea fruits ! My 8 years boy ( who actually don't eat to many boiled vegetables ) simply enjoyed the final drop of soup from one BIG portion 900 g of delicios mussels at amasing price of 32 lei aprox 7 eur!!! He just fought with me on food :) Also delicios lemonade and hand made cakes. Prices are verry atractives if you don't believe, go to some expired restaurants in Mamaia or Eforie remains only with the names whre you eat something far away from what did you order and leave a whole monthly income!!! Also there you can rent a room in a wood barel from where you can here the true sound of sea, far away from the clubs with noisy music trying hard to look like the decadency from Ibiza ....it is an excelent unique idea congratulation to the owner ! Enjoy!
I descovered this beach 3 years ago and I fell in love with it. Huge beach, fine sand, water not deep - great for kids. This year it made me sad. It looks like the owners of the restaurant and in charge with the beach forgot that a place must be maintained. The beach is dirty (cigarattes, pets, plastic bags etc ). Toillets are nota clean. The umbrellas and cheslongue costa 40 Ron/ Day and the boys in charge with them ar standing on cheslongues under umbrellas very relaxed with tourist attitude. Restaurant food is ok, but the quality decreased versus last years. I enjoyed te night concert (AlterEgo -rock band singing cover songs) . They made a great athmosphare. The location is great, but unfortunatly is not well adminisrated. Te employees are too relaxed to offer quality service, although prices are relatively high. I stilul hope something good will happen. It's a pity to waste such a beautiful place.
