Restaurant pub is from the Brewers Fayre chain. It has a good menu with good value for money and tasy food. Staff were friendly and competent, and they were ensuring the respect of social distancing rules. However, the pub got very busy and it took a while to get my bill in the end, and in fact I had to ask for it. booked a table for 14,00 hours yesterday (1st aug 2021) got told to wait in the pool room along with many other people waiting to be seated as the room was so full of people not wearing masks and the amount in there i refused,so got told to wait at the bar, got seated at 14,30 hours waited for drinks then got told food would be a min of 45 minutes, i asked for the managers details and he refused,asked for head office... As usual,good food, great service, very reasonable price!. We go regularly, coffee in a morning,meal in the evening. Can't fault it!!!!. Great service with a smile . Well done, AMANDA,LEE, CHRIS,GARY, ELLIE,ALL THE CHEF'S AND NOT FORGETTING ALL THE OTHER STAFF BEHIND THE SCENES!!!!!.
For our regular Friday night meal,on 28th Chris was a fantastic waiter ,he makes it fun ,he knows our names ,and especially my allergies,he goes out of his way ,and always makes it a lovely enjoyable visit Thanks Chris
Menu had been shortened. Not much choice. Staff friendly and busy. Food arrived, my dad had gammon roast dinner but it was like warm. The mashed veg was cold so had to send it back and asked for it to be heated for a couple of minutes. Wasn’t much better when it was brought back out. Coleslaw was forgotten for one plate of food. The waitress said she had forgotten it and would bring it out but she never came back with it.
Great food (love the upgrade ribs combo, or smothered platters, plus the fish n chips is always great I would definitely book a table online at least an HR before to reserve a table, as they sometimes turn away walk ins. Great views and lovely friendly and efficient staff too.
Fantastic service from Chris, gave us a lovely table. Thanx to Amanda for advice and sorting out an issue over promo codes. Lovely food and quick too. Perfect.
