If you're in town this cafe is a must! The gluten free raspberry and ricotta pancakes were SENSATIONAL possibly the best breakfast I've ever had, so deliciously...

Nice little Cafe with a view. Had coffee and cake for dessert. Both were delicious. The staff was very friendly.

"The food, service and atmosphere was great! Unexpected in a small, isolated town like Cooktown. Super friendly service and extensive menu with most items able to be vegan. The chef makes their own sauces so you have to give them 24 hrs to do a special sauce without oyster or fish sauce. The flavours are amazing and the food was served super hot! We ordered extra vegetables which helps. They don’t do tofu."

"I am a regular visitor to the bowls club and usually love the meals, but this time asked for a rare porterhouse with chips and salad. The chips came out as a spoonful of soggy French fries, a fork full of salad and the steak so tuff I broke my tooth"

"We went to the cooktown hotel for a pub meal, ordered meals, duck, for person and main meal for the other. the escape came out after minutes of waiting, was nice enough. the other meal, a chicken carving with diane... sauce, koleslaw and pommes did not arrive. the coworker was alarmed and finally the meal came more than an hour after the ordering, it was very soft and soggy, the koleslaw was only mush and the fries missing. not very nice to eat at all, I was hungry, so I tried to eat some, but simply not as it was not very nice at all. very disappointing, I must say, and the service was not very attentive, although at least the person behind the bar tried to visit the missing meal."
