"Food, service and atmosphere were great! Unexpected in a small isolated city like Cooktown. Super friendly service and extensive menu with most items able to be vegan. The cook makes her own sauces, so you need to give them 24 hours to do a special sauce without oysters or fish sauce. The flavors are amazing and the food was served super hot! We ordered extra vegetables that helps. They don't do tofu."

"Sitting on the deck watching the sun set eating scrumptious, delectably battered coral trout, delicately and superbly cooked salt and pepper calamari and thin cut crisp chips, who could ask for more! Whilst waiting for our order, we heard customer after customer express gratitude and...compliments to the chef Geoff and the owner Matty who told us he’d only been open for weeks! The meal is collected from the counter wrapped in white butcher’s paper to be eaten either on-site at tables or take away. Glasses are provided for byo as is cutlery. If in Cooktown do yourself a favour and eat there! The kiosk is open for breakfast and lunch too."
