What User likes about The Cooktown Cafe:
Was hanging out for a great coffee & cake & the cafe delivered. Cheese cake nice also. What really threw me was that I was asked if I wanted sugar, (yes thanks, 2), & then charged 80 cents extra.......... Really amount not the issue but never came across having to pay extra for sugar, ever !!!!! read more.

When the weather is good you can also have something outside, And into the accessible rooms also come customers with wheelchairs or physiological disabilities.

What User doesn't like about The Cooktown Cafe:
This cafe seemed to be the only one open on a Sunday night serving coffee. It was not nice...in fact I could not drink it, a big disappointment...may I recommend the staff learn how to use the coffee machine properly read more.

For breakfast, you can enjoy a rich brunch at The Cooktown Cafe, as much as you want, Additionally, they serve you authentic Australian dishes with products like bush tomatoes and finger limes. When you're not so ravenous, you can just treat yourself to one of the tasty sandwiches, a small salad or another snack, The meals are usually prepared for you in the shortest time and fresh.

Found staff courteous food fantastic. Clean fresh and we'll run. Congratulations would eat there each day if I lived Cooktown.

Delightful hot and spicy peri peri burgers. Snitz burgers were delicious. Chips were top notch

"Love the history of this place (built in the goldrush.) And the first Thai restaurant we have found in our 3 weeks of travelling. Friendly greeting by Thai waitress. Interior had character, but was too warm. Neither cril6ing fans nor air con were running. When I asked if air con could be turned on, they turned on 2 of the ceiling fans only (which were not near the table we'd been given). We were the only patrons at the time. We ordered curry puffs as an entree, and 2 mains. The curry puffs were excellent value (5 for $7). But why not an even number in the serve to allow for equal sharing? The mains were generous, but flavour was a little lacking. Overall good value. Nice food. But could be better."
