"We eat out frequently but it is seldom special, Pipers is special. The food is rich, flavoursome, very fresh and well thought out. We had three courses and each was spot on. The service was also excellent, attentive and friendly. A regional gem. Penola is a great place to spend a few days and if you can get into Pipers is a must for a great meal."

"Based on the reviews, I have selected this place to stop by for a winery lunch while staying in Mt Gambier for the easter long weekend There were eight of us in a group, and I was quite disappointed by the quality of the food. "A book for dinner in this great pub. they offered 2 seats we went with the election of 7.30. very busy and attentive employees who had to endure this evening pretentious mosquitoes and people who just came in and sat on already booked tables! eating was fantastic, barramundi and the beer scattered flathead. thanks to sophia and luke and the rest of the staff for their patient and professionalism."
