"Stayed here with a small group of friends for a weekend away while we climbed Scafell Pike. Very close by to the mountain and perfect for what we needed. The food here is great and we could not get over the portion sizes (unless you have a big appetite, i would recommend requesting the lighter option). The owners are very accommodating and flexible. The rooms are a little dated but they had everything we needed and i would stay again."

"What a beautiful place to stay. We were at Irton Hall for two nights. The setting was tranquil, and the grounds surrounding the Hall were well kept and made an evening stroll before dinner easy, just what we needed after a long journey from our home on the Outer Hebrides. The staff were so helpful and very friendly. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was delicious. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath was fabulous especially after a hike up Scafell Pike! Jamie gave us a potted history of the Hall, thank you, Jamie. All in all we just couldn't fault it. We will be back."

"Absolutely amazing... the steak is the most beautiful eive ever cooked to perfection and there were 4 , we all had them cooked differently, 1 had half a frying hull that was also faultless the service was 10/10, beautiful warm atmosphere we could not owe anything we will be back in any case, many thanks to helen richard and personal xx"
