"Decided to try The Globe whilst looking at places to eat near to where we were staying and I have to say I'm so glad we chose it. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. One thing I will say is that the portions are HUGE"

"Staff were very friendly and inviting, after having just missed them the day beofre they recommend other places, so i decided to try again the next day, and I'm glad I did! Had the 6oz burger of the week it was delicious! Highly recommend anyone looking for a tasty meal in a friendly restaurant."

"We booked into this lovely boutique hotel to visit our son who works in Whitehaven. Delighted to have found such a jewel. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and breakfast was delicious. My undyed smoked haddock and poached eggs was the best I’ve had...in a very long time. Hubby’s eggs benedict was perfectly cooked and our son’s full English was definitely enjoyed. Appears to be family run. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It will be our go to place when visiting Whitehaven."

"We stayed for three nights in one of the self catering apartments. Certainly spacious, and the setting is fantastic. The apartment itself was very tired. The towels were great, the bed linen fine, and the mattresses horrendous. Really nasty. We ate in the bar on the first night and the food was very good. We had a good time, but this property could be so much better with a lick of paint and new mattresses."
