What User likes about Gem Sushi:
This is a small shop sushi place that won't bit a huge swath out of your wallet. It is a great place for eat-in or take-out. It is very good sushi but if you are looking for decor and presentation then this is not the place for you. The tables are cramped into a small space but comfortable for patrons wishing to eat in. What User doesn't like about Gem Sushi:
Don Katsu was disappointing (very soggy and porky). The rolls were not horrible but not quite right either. California rolls had very little avocado, and unaltered imitation crab piece in addition to the seasoned ones. Dynamite rolls consisted of barely there prawn tempura, lettuce, and a whole lot of tempura batter bits. Unagi rolls were just sad...drizzled with thin soy sauce. And prawn tempura...so skinny.
