"Absolutely amazing food! The staff was polite and friendly, we were seated almost immediately, and they were quick to take our order. The meal was prepared very fast, so quickly that the items we ordered to share before our meal came all arrived with our meal, but that is what efficiency looks like! Preparation was excellent, we were asked about allergies, and although we had none, it is quite inclusive to ensure a great meal experience. We will definitely return!"

"Amazing food and service. They serve local beer on tap. We had Prosciutto pizza, Chicken Vege burgers, and Beets Poke bowl. All fresh and truly tasty. The place has a nice decor, it’s cozy with plenty of parking which is also a bonus. We will come back for sure!"

"This place is SO fun! So many varieties of flavors. So much to look at. I loved the ambience and the personalities that work their. It all just ADDS to a fantastic experience. I took the bus there no problem from Vancouver. I am a virtual tour guide and everyone loved the visit to the amazing pastry shops. Some very interesting adult oriented items. Seriously a GREAT place!"

"I was told they had the best sandwiches. Absolutely true. A great experience of classic family run, busy deli feel, beautiful food. Even got a free coffee on my way out. Very memorable lunch and I'll definitely be back!!!"

"I'll start by saying that I'm not a big fan of Japanese restaurants with overtly modern interior and menu filled newly created non-traditional dishes.But Matoi Sushi is everything that I expect from a casual Japanese reataurant, with classic yet confortable atmosphere.I've tried various dishes including appetizers, sushi and rolls, noodles, et cetera.I liked all of them and loved many of them, but my favourite portion of their menu has to be the lunch specials, or Teishokus.They're affordable, provide such a variety of choices for the main dish, come with healthy side dishes.I sometimes hope that they're open for the entire afternoon, especially because I have late lunch quite often. But it's understandable that they close during the least busy hours of the day."
