I had a great experience at this restaurant! My friend and I visited right as they were opening and the host was very welcoming. Our waitress was attentive, as was the rest of the staff. What Adriana Ramon doesn't like about Scuola Vecchia Pizza E Vino:
My family and I were excited to visit this restaurant for the first time. We like to support local businesses. The food and drinks were just okay. The prices were high. After we finished our meal, they hurried us to pay the bill and leave, saying they needed the table for another customer. I wonder if they treat everyone like that. We won't be returning. My husband and I had dined at Scuola Vecchio once before, shortly after it first opened. We weren't very impressed at the time. However, we decided to give it another try tonight. We both ordered the Toscana salad, followed by sharing the eggplant Parmesan. The salads were fresh, with slices of ripe pear and walnuts tossed in a delicious citrusy vinaigrette. The standout dish was the eggplant Parmesan. It was incredibly light and delicate, unlike the thick and heavy versions we've had at other restaurants. The eggplant was thinly sliced, lightly breaded, and layered perfectly in a rich red sauce, topped with fresh Parmesan crumbs. It was truly heavenly. We dined outside, and the citronella candles on the tables kept the bugs at bay. The service was attentive and efficient. This restaurant is a hidden gem in our neighborhood!
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! The owners are lovely, and the dishes are clean, fresh, and wonderful.
