it was strange that in the middle of the third aprilweek the only restaurant in cordes sur ciel was opened, so we were very happy to sit without stopping becaus...

We got a seat on the terrace and when asked whether we wanted an apperitif, asked for the menu including wine (this happened twice with the same waiter deja vu)...

"Went for lunch on 15th August (a French public holiday). Booked in advance and was glad to have done so as there are only around 30 seats in the restaurant and all were taken within the hour. It was a windy day up on the hill but we were well sheltered by large perspex windows and the cosy cabin built around the trees surrounding us. There was a good choice of food... my mum chose the tempura vegetables and I had foie gras to start. For mains she had the lamb and I had duck. Both came with rice and vegetables. The meat was beautifully cooked and flavoured. Mum was full after this but I managed a chocolate fondant, perfectly cooked. The staff were welcoming and professional. Toilet very clean. Cost €60 for a 2 and 3 course menu and a couple of soft drinks. Lovely experience. Thank you."
