"Fantastic restaurant! We booked a table for 10 at short notice and were extremely lucky to get it as the restaurant was packed. We had a lovely table with a view. The staff were so friendly, talking us through the specialities and how all ingredients were home grown or locally sourced. One member of our group is gluten free and he was well catered for, and given gluten free bread without asking which was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious. We had slow cooked lamb (amazing! , guinea fowl (rich and delicious and sizzling steak skillets (excellent and devine potatoes! The puddings were so good too. The chocolate fondant and apple tartin were especially good. The food came quickly and the house red wine was good. It was all amazingly good value and we loved it."

"If you like mushrooms get on down to this understated family run restaurant near Corchia. I had a mixed starter. The freshness and crispness of the crostini was wonderfully complemented by the fluffy rich texture of the tasty souffle. For first plate I had a generous helping of nettle tagliolini with Spec and the local speciality of truffles. This is one of the local restaurant with permission to sell truffles. This was a visual and gastronomic delight. Absolutely wonderful blend of flavours. People travel to Manubiola for miles around for its truffle and wild boar dishes. I was not able to get to second plate though I would have loved to. Instead we moved onto desert. I had a a chestnut and nut semi-frozen desert in a bed of sharon fruit sauce. A thoroughly enjoyable finish to an amazing meal. I would definitely go back again."

"Coming back from a walking hike, or having just parked your car in the large parking area, you find yourself in a plain, surrounded by Mountains in the 100 Lakes national park. Good traditional food, wonderful Parma Ham and Salame, which in the good season can be eaten outside. You can let the kids outside to play as there are no dangers. After lunch/dinner you can have a stroll visitng the former Peat deposits, or take some longer trails starting next to the Chalet.. Note: on most years you can find snow untill the month of may!"
