The food was delicious and the portions were really generous. The chips were really good. I wanted sausage and mash but they only had mash made with butter, so I opted for chips instead. The chips were excellent, so it worked out fine. They only offer ice cream for dessert. The sausages and burger were tasty. It's a cozy local pub that was quite busy. The staff were very friendly. After booking a table for my family we have a beautiful pub hidden from the world, ordered 3 Sunday evening dinner a veggie lasagne, eating was absolutely fantastic it was a welcome from eating that they usually get fresh on vacation. to perfection of the turquoise roasts that we cooked for perfection, also a beautiful welcome from the dame of the pubs
Visited with our friends and their family. very welcome, eating was brilliant, service excellent. warm and friendly and very welcome from the personal.
We are currently staying in Angarrack so wanted to make use of the local pub. So glad we visited! We have been 3 times during our week stay in Cornwall, twice for food. First of all the staff are so friendly and upbeat. They brought...our dog water and food at no extra cost! And nothing was too much trouble. Lovely traditional pub interior, no airs graces great atmosphere. They serve food from 5.30, most tables are reserved so I would recommend booking in advance especially on a weekend. I had the halloumi burger my husband had the beef burger. My daughter had the kids beef burger on one occasion and chicken goujons on the other. We also had the nachos to start which were the best I’ve ever had! Not soggy, freshly made with the cheese on top and then guacamole, salsa sour cream on the side in pots so it’s ideal if you don’t like them all you can pick and choose. The chips that came with the meals were also freshly made, not greasy seasoned to perfection! They were extremely generous with garnish/salad on the side of both meals as well as coleslaw, sauces, relish and onion rings! They were so generous with the halloumi on my main too! 2/3 slices. than enough on the meals for the price. £47 for 3 meals, starter a drink each is such good value and I couldn’t believe how nice the food was this is honestly the best food we’ve ever had! The only downside is that we live so far away to return anytime soon! But we will be back on our next visit to Cornwall x x
Lovely traditional pub set in a beautiful village. The staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. The food was very tasty. We will be coming back, when we are visiting Cornwall again. 3 vegan meals on the menu (vegan steak and chips, bean burger (was...super tasty! and vegan sausage and mash). Highly recommending this pub.
This is a nice friendly and welcoming pub with a great menu. there are many vegetarian options as well as traditional pub meals and more adventurous specialties.
