"We had no food in so decided to eat breakfast out. I’d heard about this place and so we thought we’d give it a try. We were given a warm welcome and ordered two small breakfasts but were curious about the pancakes. Because we lived in the USA we were keen to try them. The breakfasts were lovely and well cooked and the pancakes were good with plenty of maple syrup and crispy bacon just as they should be. Recommended."

"An outstanding little gem just outside Padstow. The food was extremely tasty and presented beautifully. My duck was out of this world. The family who run this restaurant make you feel welcome and really look after you from start to finish and nothing is true much trouble. Definitely going back next time we are back in St Merryn. "We dined here when staying in Polperro for a few days for my niece’s wedding at Trenderway Farm. The whole evening in this restaurant was fantastic. They have the ambience just right with the music at the right levels. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and chatty with a great smile. The food was absolutely superb. We could not fault any of the three courses. They even had a lovely dessert wine to finish off our evening with. To cap it all, the chef came out at the end of the evening for a lovely chat. All in all, this restaurant has all the credentials I would expect from a large city restaurant. If you are ever in the area, you MUST visit."
