"Nigel Tabb’s Sunday roasts are always special but this menu was particularly good. We only have beef as a rare treat, so, when we do have it, it has to be good. Today’s short rib dish was superb. The accompanying dishes on the menu made for an excellent leisurely lunch. Highly recommended."

"We've been coming here for years but hadn't been since before lockdown (sadly). They have made massive efforts to make the layout and systems as safe as possible for customers and staff and the food is as good as I remember and still great value. If covid is putting you off visiting, don't let it. Medium breakfast with black pudding please!!!"

An exquisite menu and great beers and wine list not forgetting the front of house staff who looked after us , and very reasonable prices for fantastic produce imaginatively presented.
