Visited twice while on holiday this week. Really enjoyed the cakes excellent value even if the famous Tuesday cake night isn't happening at the moment. Friendly service will surely return next time in the area. View all feedback.

We came to this pub on a Saturday night expected it to be good on the strength of the reviews......however........ The first surprise is the fact there's no parking available. We managed to park down the road but it got us off to a...bad start. They're going to eat. personal really friendly, eating and beer fantastic. I recommend cake at night on a Tuesday that steak and ale was to die. we would have fallen in the following night, but for a bad return meant an early return home. can not recommend this location enough.
Return to this pub when it opened from lockdown. it was fantastic and I am glad that it was made by the beer excellent, but best was the warm welcoming approach. Unfortunately, they weren't eating yet, but when I had eaten there before, it was great. love it.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant while on vacation. The steak was perfectly cooked exactly how I wanted it, and the sides of crispy chips and sweet potato fries were fantastic choices. Despite the busy crowd, all three dishes arrived at our table promptly. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you are in the area, as the staff were friendly and efficient. I suggest making a reservation in advance. I will definitely be returning!
Came here 2 years ago and had lovely meals and was greeted by friendly staff. Walked in this Sunday afternoon, even though they were busy we managed to get a table. Sunday roast was amazing and the staff remain friendly and eager to please. Definitely worth reserving a table for your Sunday dinner.
Today we had a beautiful Sunday dinner in the anvil, everything was cooked to perfection. there was a selection of huge slices of bark meat, pork and chicken with perfect roasts and yorkshire padded, delicious veg and enough gravy for a northern .and beautiful desserts.
