What tinyemily likes about The Edgcumbe:
Had 2 hanging kebabs and some sides. All very nice! Dog friendly too which always helps! Will be back when we next make the trip down from Newcastle! You must try the Mac and cheese : View all feedback.

What Nick S doesn't like about The Edgcumbe:
Hugely disappointing as it was recommended by a nearby hotel. Steak was tough as old boots , mussels, crevettes and chicken wings were all thawed from frozen. Such a shame as staff were lovely though View all feedback.

"This place was a massive surprise with gorgeous food and dog friendly. From the outside The Rising Sun looks like an average village pub, but upon entry you realise that it’s not your average pub. The food although not cheap, was gorgeous this is an understatement we had a very warm welcome upon entering the pub by whom I assume was the owner or manager. He was extremely passionate about the ability of the chef and extremely knowledgeable about the food on offer as well as the drinks available. I would definitely recommend a visit to this hidden delight and we will certainly be back for a visit next year"
