Great music, welcoming locals and full of fun if you like a traditional funky pub that hosts live music you will love this place
Best pub in Liskeard...no...best pub within at least 10 miles...no 20 miles...no....you get the idea.Friendly, fun and great live bands.

"Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here with my son today. I ordered the vegan breakfast and when they realised they had no vegan spread they went to the shops to get some. Very attentive service and delicious food in a very cosy setting."

"We visited couches this week for the first time, and hope that it will not be our last. amazing eating, we had the makrele and scallops as appetizers, the venison and huhn as our main, followed by the cheese plate and the trio of desert. not a single mouth full of disappointment. the service was first-class, nothing was too much annoyed by phil, and richard came and chatted. brilliant from beginning to end!"

"This restaurant never fails to impress excellent food, superb wine and in contrast with other comparable eateries in Fowey and the surrounding area, the best value by a mile! Nice to see the restaurant has had a fairly recent refurbishment in the most beautifully regal deep green colour and great to hear music there too (a lack of music/atmosphere could have been the only reluctant criticism on other previous visits) Food wise, 10/10 every time. Always seasonal (my asparagus starter last night was sensational) and the wine is delicious without the outrageous price tag you expect in Fowey. Well done Asquiths simply delicious! Thank you once again."

"My parents and I decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. All I can say is thank god for her recommendation, I didn’t even realise this marvellous place existed, hidden down Pike Street. Everyone was so welcoming, they moved us from the original table as there was a big party coming in and they said “it might get a bit noisy for you”. For some reason we forgot to order starters but we didn’t need them after the poppadoms and pickles, and in some respects I’m kind of glad we forgot! The mains we ordered alongside some veggie sides were absolutely gorgeous and generous, all three of us struggled to finish. I had the chicken dopiaza which was gorgeous, sweet and fragrant. My parents had chicken bhuna and chicken jalfrezi, along with mushroom rice and egg fried rice, garlic and plain naan. It’s currently 8.35pm and I’m as full and happy as I’ve ever been. What a diamond this restaurant is and the service was timely and impeccable. If I could give more than five stars, I would."
