What Aaron Balentine likes about Golden Crown Chinese:
I decided to try out this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Everything I tried was incredibly tasty. The egg drop soup was rich and had chunks of chicken in it, it could have easily been a meal on its own. But then there was the seafood combination, which was a huge plate filled with seafood and vegetables, served with a side of fried rice. I asked for a donation of a gift certificate from this business for the low income Senior Apartments I work at and right away the lady said ?No, I don?t want to.? Then she hung up. The senior residents eat there so it would have been good advertising for the restaurant and it would help low income seniors get a free meal. They suck! View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant offers an entertaining environment with an optical illusion created by mirrors. The delicious food, particularly the brown sauce options, comes with generous portions, though it can be pricey starting at $14.95 per plate. Service is average, with new staff members. Guests are impressed by the tasty dishes, particularly the egg drop soup and seafood combination. Prices are reasonable considering the ample portions. The fried wontons are a must-try, along with the combination Lomaine and Kong pow shrimp dishes. The attentive service and top-notch food make for a satisfying experience that ensures a return visit.
Best Chinese food I've found outside of New York, found this gem on a weekend trip Corpus. 6/5
