"My wie and I live in the valley, and when we want to impress guests with the finest expression of Ligurian cuisine, we take them to Cian de Bia. Ivo, his wife, Fanca, and his son, Matteo, who is the former mayor of Montalto, a nearby hill town, are consumate guides to the traditional cuisine of the Valle Argentina, exalted to a level that is world class. Their wine cellar is excellent, from local Rossese wines that go perfectly with each dish, to extraordinary Barolos and Barbarescos from neighboring Piedmont, whose producers are friends with Ivo. It's a sublime experience. I'm bringing friends this evening, once again, as Ivo and Franco always impress with their meals."
