"Brilliant pub restaurant. We popped in on a Friday lunchtime, originally just for a drink (and the place was full, which spoke volume).. However, the smell of the food and the menu left is no choice but to order, and glad we did. Excellent quality food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good choice of real ales. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Not often you see a pub so busy on a Friday lunchtime, recommend booking ahead. Price per person: £20–30"

"I've been to the Royal Oak several times since the pub changed hands and each time it has been excellent. The staff are very friendly, the beers are great and the food has been delicious (the mashed potato I had with a beef short rib...was the best mash I have ever had). The pies and burgers have also been excellent."
