First time coming to this Black Bear Diner and it was delicious! The cubs (kids) portion of the menu had a bunch of different options. We tried the chicken strips with french fries, Cub Cake (pancake) and the Papa Bear?s pizza, with fresh fruit. They missed the cranberry sauce with this dish. I had to argue about cornbread coming with the salad. Every time I get food here they forget something and then argue about it. The blackbear diner has a reputation for large portions and they were indeed wonderful and large. My teenagers were so full they could not finish their plates....

"Went here a week or so ago, right after their grand opening, and I must say they need to get their act together, did not have a great experience, The service was rather slow. It took the server forever to come back to the table to check on us I think everybody was a little, overwhelmed and shortstaffed .had the Caesar salad, and the dressing was basically tasteless not impressed whatsoever. I also had the pesto cavatappi. The pasta was very mushy. The flavor of the pesto was OK, but the texture made it unpleasant. My friend had the mushroom pizza in which the shallots or onions, totally dominated. so again, disappointing, hopefully in a couple of months they'll work out the bugs..any reviews here more than a month ago were for their previous location which was smaller and probably better staffed although I never went there. I watched the new place being built from the ground up for over 3 years and had high hopes for it being amazing If this is your first time to cottonwood I would pass on this place for now, However, on a positive note, the view is amazing. If you wanna go have a drink during the daytime and look out over the entire Verde Valley. This is the place."
