We were here twice while we stayed at the hotel on the street, we had no idea what we ordered, because we don't speak Portuguese and the lady who leads it doesn't speak English. It was pot luck on what...we ordered, but it was all delicious and freshly cooked for us, would certainly recomend. View all feedback.
What Manuel Lourenço doesn't like about Restaurante Montes Herminios:
With children, looking for an early option. A little overpriced, but served the purpose. You have children's plates and you can ask for travel package. Good quality, we were looking for a warm place with decent food View all feedback.

So you rock to this shady place (I'm flattering in the middle of the mountain with pretty decent reviews and you think: I'll eat so much that Google Maps categorize me as a roundabout, it'll be cheap as chips,... it will have this really local and typical feeling. Well... the smell of smokers when you go in the outside world, beats the latter, and the place is not the typical tavern or mountain restaurant, it is just badly maintained (check the toilets, old and crooked. Cheap? Yes, think again, three run of the mill, a few soups and water (plus an extorted expensive desert like 6 7eur...amazing!!!! and you go with a 60 bill. Oh, and the portions: well dimensioned, for a city center, business district restaurant, not for an alleged Beirã tradition restaurant. Many game meats, if you are an enthusiast, I guess that's a plus, but not even thinking about finding me in this place.
A group of four retirees living in Portugal, we very much enjoyed our meal. Although the restaurant was deserted in early October, the service was impeccable and the food outstanding. Some dishes were slightly above average price for Portugal, but most of the menu was...very good value for money. We will be back.
Just a very short walk from our pousada, the drinks and food were simple and good value for money, and the owners were very friendly.
