The Gruff - Covington

What Lindsay V likes about The Gruff:
The fried bologna sandwich needed something more to elevate it. I couldn't taste the bbq sauce, and the pickles seemed watery and provided little flavor. Couldn't taste the slaw. The bun was high-quality and the bologna and cheese were excellent, I just feel it was one-note. The pickle fries are cut like french fries, so the breading to pickle ratio felt off to me. We used to really like it but the last two times we have had terrible service. One waiter was rude and another kept us waiting so long we finally left. If you go, be prepared for long waits. Food is mostly ok. View all feedback.
