Popped in for breakfast after staying at Long Ashes, fantastic breakfast! I couldn’t finish it, the mushrooms were delicious. Lovely friendly cafe in a gorgeous position with beautiful views, even on a rainy, windy morning in December!
We stopped in for a late lunch and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who promptly seated us. We decided to order a light lunch of a bacon sandwich and poached eggs on toast. The food arrived quickly, and the bacon sandwich was the best I've ever had - delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we indulged in apple pie and rhubarb crumble, both of which were also delicious. We brought our dog with us and they were offered treats and fresh water. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary sweets when we paid the bill. The cafe offers a good variety of food and drinks, including a vegetarian cooked breakfast. This hidden gem in a beautiful village has won us over, and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
