"You can’t perfect scrambled eggs...never get the right consistency all the time. Well that’s what I thought until I visited RYE Cafe, dome to perfection every single time. Even better with a little hot sauce drizzled on the top. If you haven’t visited this little hidden gem in sleepy Ashtead then I would advise giving it a thought when you next pass by."

"This was such a special treat! A really fantastic afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes … plenty too! We were very looked after by the two guys who run it …. They were really accommodating too as although we had booked a table, we had forgotten to specify it was for afternoon tea. They made it especially for us which we really did appreciate! It’s a lovely little find, and well deserves great reviews. Will definitely be back! So much nicer than many big hotels that lack atmosphere and serve mediocre food … this was 5 stars!!"

"Well we’ve just had a wonderful meal at home cooked by Casa Zilli, absolutely fantastic all very fresh ingredients cooked to order. At home we set the table restaurant style, with Italian classic music and quite frankly this is the best thing we’ve had this year.COVID-19 lockdown is so difficult and all we have to look forward to is food and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight and would Recommend you to try some of this wonderful food. "Canteen style dinner specialising in Afghan food and Pakistani Curry but doing lots of other things. I ordered a Lamb Karahi and got mutton cooked in a very sour and bitter unappetising sauce. Naan bread was supermarket style without any great taste. Rice was OK but definitely not Basmati. There are better places in Crawley to go for a curry so I won't be back...but they do do Fish and Chips...."
