My favorite restaurant in Crested Butte. We arrived a half hour early, but got seated immediately. Service was excellent as was the food. It took awhile to get our food, and some members of our party said their food was cold. I suspect the kitchen was a bit backed up, but I won't let this stop me from going back. View all feedback.

Very comfortable and pleasant dinning room, old school western. Service and food was very very good, with some nice chef specials options. Food pacing was excellent with all selections presented and prepared very well. View all feedback.
We've been here for years. Our latest meal was the best! My fillet was cooked to the perfect rare. I'm from Texas and eat a lot of steak, that had to hit every steak at home! Can't wait to go back!
The perfect dinner for a perfect day. Repent all day hiking in hungern and leave STUFFED! Back in this August and it is on my “must do” list.
Love the ambience and cold beer and margaritas. A must when you're in town.

I don't understand why others rate the Wooden Nickel so low. The food is always great and at a fair price. Other steak places come and go or change ownership in CB, and yet the Wooden Nickel remains. That should tell you something.
