We ended up here unexpectedly, but we are so happy we found this place and will definitely return on our next trip. The staff was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and Jacko, the entertainer, was amazing! We laughed, sang, and enjoyed every moment. Thank you for your hospitality. Jo and Harvey. x
A fantastic little spot for an evening out! The beer is excellent, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is filled with great conversation. Plus, it's very dog-friendly!
At West Highland Way, there isn’t much to recommend, especially for vegans. Unless you enjoy burgers, pizzas, and mac and cheese (served with garlic bread, chips, or both), options are pretty limited. In contrast, Ben More Lodge offered a more diverse menu that included vegetarian haggis and herbal kebabs. We made our reservation through their website and were pleasantly surprised. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was fantastic; it felt like we were being treated as cherished family members or friends by a skilled chef who put great care into every aspect of the meal.
As a vegetarian traveling along the West Highland Way, options can be quite limited (even more so for vegans). The usual fare tends to revolve around burgers, pizza, and mac and cheese—often accompanied by garlic bread or chips. However, Ben More Lodge stood out with a menu that offered something a little different, including vegetarian haggis and vegetable kebabs. We made a reservation through their website and were pleased with our experience. The welcome we received was warm and friendly, and the staff were incredibly kind. The food was exceptional, and we truly felt like cherished family members or friends being catered to by a talented chef who meticulously prepared each dish with great care.
There isn’t much to say about vegetarian options along the West Highland Way (and it’s even worse for vegans, I think). Unless you're happy with burgers, pizza, and mac n’ cheese (with garlic bread or chips, or both), your choices are quite limited. However, Ben More Lodge stood out with a menu that offered something different, such as vegetarian haggis and herb kebabs. We made a reservation through their website and were not disappointed. The welcoming atmosphere was incredibly friendly, thanks to the staff, and the food was fantastic. We felt like esteemed family members or friends, all thanks to a skilled chef who prepared each part of the meal with great care.
