What Positive, Productive Peaceful likes about Blackbird Doughnuts Beacon Hill:
As a donut conneiseur who's tried my fair share of pastries, this shop lives up to the hype! At $42/dozen it should! However the price point is actually reflected in the taste and that is something I have found lacking in some hyped up places (Kanes which was so disappointing). This misses the mark completely. If you're used to traditional cake or raised donuts from the likes of Kane's or Donut King or your little local shop, this won't do it for you. They are pricey as well, $4 or more for a donut. There's too much chew on the dough that's used for the filled donuts (Boston Cream etc).
