The food was delicious. My brothers and I took our mother to Mother's Day. I had the Kajon fish that it was wonderful. If you try the Gator, it's also good. I can't say anything bad here. You just have to experience it yourself! View all feedback.
What J R doesn't like about Catfish Cabin:
We loved this place, we go every year. But this year, they have changed. To start you do not get beans, slaw and hush puppies, you have to order every vegetable you want. The veggies do not taste the same either. We ordered appetizers, they were good. The catfish came, the fish was rotten, the smell made your stomach contract. We paid for our meals, they offered to make more, but the grease would have been contaminat... View all feedback.
A very nice, small, quaint establishment. Service, food, and atmosphere were good.
Best damn fried catfish ever! Love family run restaurants that love what they do.
Catfish was delicious. Very friendly and wonderful service!
My friends and I went to this little gem today. It is a cabin with old timey decor which I love. Shirley was our waitress and she's so sweet. Her husband Howard brought out a complimentary dish of hush puppies. They were very good. I ordered a veggie plate. I got green beans, fried okra, fried squash, and macaroni and cheese. Let me start with the good. The squash and okra were delicious. They were cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. I'm not going to lie when I saw the Mac n cheese I thought it was just going to be mediocre because it looks like boxed m&c. However upon tasting it I was pleasantly surprised to see it was made with a delightful flavorful cheese sauce. It was so good! My only complaint was the green beans. I wish they had a little more flavor they were very bland. I saw that they have homemade desserts and I almost decided against it. At the last minute I changed my mind and ordered the homemade chocolate pie and I am SO glad I did! It was absolutely delicious. It is very rich almost has a chocolate pudding vibe to it. It's topped with whipped cream, and has a chocolate crust. It is absolutely scrumptious! You can tell that it's made with love. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. If you like fish my friends said the fish was delicious. I also tried a bite of the coleslaw and it was really good! I was also VERY pleasantly surprised to see this picture of Elvis hanging on the wall!
Some of the best catfish we've ever had at a restaurant. It's a mom and pop place which are always the best! They bring you hushpuppies and you get to choose from sides. We got the catfish with fried okra and pinto beans. Yum!!! It did get a little warm from the kitchen area, but the food is worth it. If you are in the Crossville area and want some awesome fish, go try the fried cajun catfish.
