What Ned Utzig likes about Ryo's:
Ryo's hype and fame definitely precedes its taste. Still one of the better bowls in Sydney, but it's rating is far above some of its superior competitors. Favourite here is the soy tonkotsu, which is quite balanced but lacks complexity. Owner apparently hails from Fukuoka but this is a far far cry from proper Hakata tonkotsu ramen which is much deeper in flavour and uses thin noodles. read more.
