"It consisted of a meal here at the first night of our stay based on the reviews I had previously read. my man had the Chinese new year special and I had the butternut squash pizza. while both were nice, they weren't very great. So I was a little disappointed to be honest."

"There is no doubt that the kitchen staff can cook, we were pleased with the cuisine. However, service could be friendlier and faster...we waited more than an hour between starter and main course, which is not acceptable, especially as there was no explanation for the delay or apology. We didn't see the waiter who was concentrating on the main dining area...it was like we had been forgotten. Limited opening times, but potentially a great restaurant if waiting staff could show a bit more enthusiasm and attention."

"Amazing fish and chips, with every Saturday GLUTEN FREE special. Staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about all their products. Fish is great, haddock and MSc certified Cod (even if I rather not eat cod as the stock is really low, something certification can 't change as of now). Fish batter both regular and gluten free were super crisp and light, with a great flavor. Onion rigs were superb and very fresh. They also have ice-cream but haven 't tried it. Looks great though. Get ur fish and walk 100m to the view point with the cannons, where there are benches and tables to eat your fish and chips with a view. All in all amazing experience, especially in a winter sunny day. Ps. Across the road you can buy a beer, cider or a locally roasted hot coffee at the gourmet pig to compete the meal or before the drive back home. "Having written a review giving Cwtch Glanmordy a poor rating in 2019, due to a drastic decline in the quality of both food and coffee, it 's now a pleasure to update with a much better rating. The coffees are now made properly, using 'proper coffee ' and the lattes using 'proper milk '! The machine dispensing the awful powdered concoctions of the past, I 'm pleased to say, is long gone. The choice, and more importantly, the quality, of the food on offer has also been restored to a very good standard with the side salad accompanying the panninis etc being just that, and not just a small heap of wilted lettuce as before. Providing the current standards remain it is now an establishment worthy of a good rating and recommendation. There is still a little room for improvement regarding service which can be a bit slow and disjointed, but this is dependent on which staff are in attendance. Despite ordering both meals together at lunchtime today my husband had almost finished his before I had even received mine but fingers crossed this was a one off!"
