What User likes about Guria Sta Fe:
Slight corporate feel here, but the food could hardly be faulted: hearty, full flavoured, generous Spanish and Basque offerings. The sauce of my bacalao al pil pil was one of the most intense I've tasted, including in Spain (the cooking of the cod, as well as of that of a rodaballo I tried, could be improved though), and a white bean soup with various pig's bits was as granny would have made it, rich and tasty. What User doesn't like about Guria Sta Fe:
The entrance is grand but the restaurant decoration is beigely generic, with absolutely no atmosphere and gives no clue that the menu is that of any Spanish fonda. We all enjoyed the jamon serrano, the croquetas tasted of reused oil but weren't bad, my son-in-law loved his octopus, as did my daughter her steak and my Comadre, her Paella, but all in all we were underwhelmed by the experience and wouldn't go back. The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and be served in beautiful weather, and there's a counter where you can sit and taste. The seat / dining area invites you to linger and extensively eat.
