"We were to eat and the truth is that we were surprised for good. "Before visiting Palacio de Canedo, I was told that it was beautiful; some complained it was expensive. Both statements are true. The ancient stone building has been tastefully restored to accommodate the restaurant, bodega, cafe, gift shop, etc. A large balcony is the best place...to eat while enjoying views of rolling landscape covered in vineyards and distant mountains. The food is traditional, with a gourmet touch. Service is perfect. Yes, expensive, but it is a real treat, an experience I recommend for anyone visiting the area."
