the best restaurant I found in this opposite. the staff is very friendly and extraordinarily entertaining when they see them cook! (I was blown away when our cook with his spatula crumbled a spinnei and then it was perfect in the half in the middle crisp! the chicken hibachi was delicious, would highly recommend. Food was great as always but service was HORRENDOUS. My cup was empty for a solid half hour while the waitresses just stood around talking. Waitresses messed all the checks up at our table, then we are forced to pay a 15% tip. Horrible service overall. View all feedback.

Food is good but they need to stick to the hours they post. They're supposedly open on Monday according to their posted hours (they're not) and if you get there at 40 minutes til their closing time forget about it. You'll be told theyre closed. Super unprofessional IMHO. They should just post what time their kitchen closes as their closing time. Also we've discovered fruit flies floating in our miso multiple times. The sushi is good but keep all this in mind if you decide to visit.
I could not believe the experience my family just had at this place. Myself and another person at the table ordered salmon and we told the waitress that it tasted like it was rancid. I don’t complain, I eat what I’m given, but I’m not eating rotten fish. So I told the waitress and she just stared at me and said “she’d go ask.” She came back and stated “it just came in last night so it’s good, it’s fresh.” Woman I don’t care when it came in, I’m telling you it doesn’t taste right. She then walked back two more times to “talk to someone” and told me “next time just don’t order the salmon if you don’t like it…just don’t get it.” I’m very aware of what I like and don’t like. I don’t like the waitress arguing with me in front of the whole restaurant like I’m lying. If something is not right, fix it??? She refused to take the salmon off and instead took $5 off my bill and $2 off of the other persons because “stuff is too expensive right now.” I can’t believe it, never have I ever been treated like that at any restaurant. And let’s not forget the bill was still over $130….and they automatically included the tip as well. We will not be returning. Absolutely ridiculous.
If I could give zero stars I definitely would. Prices at checkout are completely different from the menu. Rushed from the time we stepped in the door to the time we left. VERY RUDE/DISRESPECTFUL waitress. Chicken was not cooked through and rice was not cooked at all. If your looking for somewhere to get great service and Japanese’s food Shogun is the place to go.
I don’t even know where to start, the poorly cook MINUTE RICE, the absolutely rude waitress or the steak pieces that were either undercooked or over cooked! Not to mention the 15% tip that was added to the bill because she knew she was giving very poor service. We walked in 1 1/2 hours before closing and were rushed the entire time! I am absolutely disgusted! For a good, Japanese/ hibachi style meal I would suggest Yomato’s or Shogun!
