"Always great beer and service. Keep smiling and i'll keep coming! We were there at the end of an epic ride and it was nice and sunny and the patio was busy, but we opted for indoor as we were here for the beer: I like getting the heads up that it's busy and we'll get to you as quickly as we can! I think if we all hear that and have a little bit of patience, the love comes right back!! Thank you for being awesome...always!!"

"Have been their many times for Lunch. Fun historic Tavern atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff, always. Diverse menu, greater that what you would expect when entering. Food has always been spot on here. The Rueben Sandwich is a favorite for me as they doall their smoked meats inhouse and you can tell. Great atmosphere, Great Food, Great Service, Decent value for money spent. Willbe back often."

"I love George's. The burgers are awesome. Juicy, soft, greasy and hot off the grill. Everything a burger should be. I don't understand people who come here and complain about the grease. This is a legit burger joint, they are fried in grease, along with the buns and onions. That's what a real burger is. Drippy. If you don't like that, go to a sit down restaurant that serves food that isn't cooked on a flat top or in a deep fryer. There's tons of highbrow burger places in Courtenay, try Mad Chef or Union Street Grill, they are also amazing, just a completely different type of burger. Anyway to make a long story short, if you like greasy "burger joint' burgers wrapped in paper stop by George's. It doesn't get better."

"We are in Courtney every Thursday and this is a go to spot for us. It is excellent- friendly family and staff. A hidden gem! shhhh! They do a roast duck that is delis- they roast in house, tender and keeps us coming back for more. We have tried several of their sushi rolls -can't go wrong there either."
