On our holiday in Cuneo we were looking for a really good pasta restaurant. And we were not dissapointed at Maccheria. The pasta with truffle was the best ever!

We took 3 different pastas and all were excellent. Very nice service too. One suggestion, if you are angry select the large portion.

"We were in Cuneo for a Family visit a little further away. The Hotel suggested we walk, that there was plenty open. Sunday night). We happened in to 5 Sensi, and although not having a reservation, and my having no Italian, were warmly welcomed....The food was a completely unexpected and overwhelmingly excellent experience. The young man who brought the food explained each dish, being very proud of the fact that the food was all regional. He brought my Husband a glass of an excellent regional wine. We dined like Kings and Queens. I would return to Cuneo simply to eat here, about 4 or 5 nights in a row, so I could taste everything they make. Perfect."

"We were spending the weekend in the Maira Valley and decided to stop for lunch on the way in Dronero. We didn’t know where to go so we asked a shop owner for recommendations. Thankfully Rosso Rubino was one of the recommendations. We didn’t have a reservation so we were happy that they had a table for us. Then we discovered that this is no ordinary restaurant and that we were in for a real treat We opted for the Menù Degustazione and were delighted by each of the four courses. The first course of slow cooked egg in a bowl of local cheese fondue and wild spinach was out of this world. The risotto alla Nino Bergese was honestly one of the best risottos we have ever eaten. The main course was veal cheeks braised in white wine and the meat was so tender you could eat it with a spoon. The chestnut soufflé for dessert was absolutely delicious. The next time we are in Dronero we will definitely return to Rosso Rubino for the impeccable service and outstanding food."

"During our one week holiday in Piedmont we took away pizza from this pizzeria twice. We took pizza al metro: different pizzas in one piece. The one with truffles cream was very special that you may not get in other pizzerias. Dont expect fancy environment, this is rather a place to order and take away. There are however few tables to eat, but u will end up eating next to queue waiting their pizza to take away."
