"A challenge for non-Spanish speakers as no English was spoken and we were lucky that an English speaking customer on an adjacent table helped with the verbal-only non-written Menu del Dia. We had a beer, 3 courses and coffee for Eu 11 !! How do they do it? Fish soup, hake steaks (two per portion) potatoes, then cheesecake or crème caramel. Good homely food, good service, generous portions. 35 people were in this largish, wide-fronted restaurant and bar by the time we left, situated on the main semi-ring road of this little town. Couples, work mates, a lorry driver, families, working singles. I think it has a pretty good local reputation. Expect to pay rather more for the a la carte."

"We went today because I fancied some good meat and that is what I got. The grilled peppers were delish, and the churrasco de cerdo was tasty, but use your fingers. The small mixed salad was huge! A very simple dining room, no views, just basic tables and chairs. You can watch the girls cooking at the grill, and the waiters were friendly and helpful, but you will have to speak Spanish. It is not expensive at all, the whole bill for two came to €48 inc. a beer, 1/2 bottle of decent wine, and desserts. Would go back if in the area, but would not go there for a special occasion."
