Great Asian bakery. We took their bread and made french toast. Utterly amazing. The beads are great and the other items just as good. The egg dishes are out of this world to. View all feedback.
What Cessia C doesn't like about 85°c Bakery Cafe:
Disappointing sweet breads. I bought a mango custard bread that tasted of nothing, no mango taste not even any custard taste. I had an expectation of it being at least a little sweet but it had no flavor at all, I'd compare it to eating a slice of milk bread. The mini cheesecakes were also lackluster tasting extremely plain. In terms of service, the staff mixed up my order for a panna cotta with a slice of on of thei... View all feedback.
Tasty cake but terrible customer service! My husband went in person to the store, two days ahead to order a Mango Brulee birthday cake. He drove all the way there thinking it's better than ordering online because being there in person, he could properly explain how we want the writing on the cake. Turns out, they don't do writing on the cake at all! Two days later, he goes to pick up the Mango Brulee cake and the person unapologetically says they forgot to keep it aside and we could choose something else. We had to choose from what was left there and we got a Chocolate Mousse cake. Despite reading other reviews about this place messing up orders and the unabashed attitude of the staff, I still went ahead because I had tried their Tiramisu cake and loved it. Yes, the Chocolate Mousse cake was delicious too. But if you want to order a cake in advance for an important event of yours, maybe don't put all your bets on getting the right cake from here. Update: We bought a Mango Brulee cake another day and it was tasty! It was not too sweet. The cut mangoes on top were sour though, probably because we got this in December.
Loved the mango roll and the egg mochi tart. The muffins were also great. Overall light, flavorful and I really liked how the items were quickly.
Ordered a chocolate sponge roll, coconut custard sponge roll, matcha red bean roll, and mango cream roll online to pick up on 10/14. First of all, we did not receive the chocolate sponge roll; instead we received an extra coconut custard sponge roll. This would have been alright considering we hadn't double checked upon picking up our order, since they are the same value. That being said, both the coconut custard roll and matcha red bean roll were extremely dry, like they'd been sitting out for a while. Worst of all, the cream in the mango cream roll was spoiled and tasted rancid. When we checked the box, it turned out that the sell by date was 10/14, same as the day we'd ordered they gave us an expired roll. After this experience, we won't be returning to the Cupertino 85 degrees location. If there were a 0 star option for ratings, I would've chosen it.
Very good pastry and teas. Be ready to get your dose of sugar though, but it feels so good... Line was pretty long though and overall a strong feeling they were understaffed
Very rude. My wife asked for a deluxe chocolate mousse cake for my birthday and was given the wrong cake. She was given a strawberry chocolate mousse cake and when my wife tried to inform the personnel of the mistake. The response she got was uncalled for. She was scoffed at and told who cares, it 's the same thing . A customer shouldn 't have to stand their ground and insist a mistake be rectified. Mistakes happen and that 's understandable but to try and not fix your mistake because it 's the same thing is unacceptable. Picture for reference.
