Absolutely amazing experience! We chose to sit in front of their big picture window and watch this little cat nap on and off. The food is so flavorful with many dimensions. Plus, the little details really create an impressive presentation. We tried the blackberry basil, earl gray vanilla, and passion fruit teas All paired very well with the treats. What Sam doesn't like about Potpourri Of Silk:
Lovely interiors and tea sets, but their bakery items were very stale. You need a reservation 24 hrs in advance to do the High Tea which includes a selection of tea and pastries. We didn’t have a reservation, so chose to just pick up a couple of bakery items. We got a chocolate croissant and cookies and both were stale, won’t be coming back. A very elegant experience. The care and talent of the chefs are evident in every bite. My entire experience from beginning to end was fantastic. I enjoyed the coursed meal with the peach champagne tea, which I highly recommend. Not only was the passion present in every bite, but the flavor complimented each other so well through every course. The food and drink are amazing, but the atmosphere of the tea house is very much resembling a French chateau in the countryside.
Beyond accommodating and patient. The tea blends are heavenly.I would advise against bringing children under 12 here, we took our 6 and 5 year old and they loved it! However it is not an environment for restless little girls. Make sure your kiddos are good at staying seated and being polite! Thank you to Potpourri Boulangerie for your patience and giving us a beautiful afternoon with our princesses I hope we did not disturb any other guests teaKid-friendliness: Willing to accommodate for young girls, but the fare is a bit too refined and mature for most children's palettes
My mother and I have often lamented the lack of elegant-but-comfortable venues serving afternoon tea in DFW. Inevitably, the few places offering it insist on calling it high tea and often encourage guests to play dress up in hats, gloves and feather boas. No thanks. Having experienced countless (authentic afternoon teas across England, Scotland and Wales, Mom and I agree that this family business in the little yellow house gets it completely right, in an elegant yet unpretentious setting and with the most gracious service imaginable. Everything, from the warm welcome upon entering through the small but lush garden to the incredibly fresh, inventive and scrumptious food, was perfect. Chatting with the chef (and his mom! was also an absolute delight. Afternoon tea at Potpourri Boulangerie was one of the best things we 've done in a long while, and we will most definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Unique and delicious vegetarian cuisine, with flavors unfolding to completely please the palate!Parking: Very convenient parking adjacent to the venue.
6 course afternoon tea. Lasts about 2 hours depending mostly on how fast you eat/drink after tax it was $70. The service was fabulous, tea delicious, and servings were unique and nature themed
