What User likes about Smokey John's -b-que Home Cooking:
Went for my last meal before Texas left and wanted to support a black company in this process. I ordered the hot link basket as it was special for its anniversary. The basket came with Fritten and a piece of Texas Toast. The frits were beautiful and crisp and the hot connections with the grill sauce were great. Also divided half a pound of brisket. For pages we had baked beans and macaroni and cheese. Both delicious.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Smokey John's -b-que Home Cooking:
$16 for a sandwich plate plus $3 for a cup of powder iced tea. The Brisket sandwich was slightly dry, only a sauce available, which seemed a vinegar-based very watery sauce, no sweetness and no spice, a total of a sauce I would not serve my guests. The potato salad was essentially the same quality as the stuff they sell in a plastic container at Kroger. The potatoes were excellent, but no engraving was available. I'm not coming back. There are many great BBQ joints in Dallas and Smoky Johns is not one of them. I'm not sure.
Awesome atmosphere and even better food!! Must have peach cobbler
Friendly service and food was great.
