Who knew an Irish pub would have curry chicken?! I know what you're thinking, but if my friend from Ivory Coast says it's good then it's good! It really is a lot of food and tastes more like Indian curry. Loved the $5 mimosas and the vibe was more welcoming than Yolk. We sat and ate a whole meal here waiting for a table from Yolk but they NEVER contacted us. Don't waste your time, just walk over to the pub! View all feedback.
What Ana Sanchez doesn't like about The Playwright Irish Pub:
Had met some friends here since the Yolk was too busy and we ended up enjoying ourselves more here. Didn?t drink but they had some cocktails and Irish drinks that looked good. I had the coconut curry that was absolutely delicious, I?d probably get that every single time I go there. The chicken was definitely marinated in spices and the basmati rice was cooked right. My girlfriend, however, got the Uncle Sam dish and... View all feedback.
We are here last night and it the food was DELICIOUS!! Look at the fish and chips It was about a foot long solid piece of fish. And the hamburger had wonderful flavor. Also the music was just the right volume so we could talk to each other without yelling ???? which was a huge plus and oddly hard to find.

I had the coconut curry that was absolutely delicious, I?d probably get that every single time I go there. The chicken was definitely marinated in spices and the basmati rice was cooked right. My girlfriend, however, got the Uncle Sam dish and hated it. The pancakes were hard, the biscuit was even harder (like a rock), the eggs were supposed to be over-easy but they were too fried and not runny. Also, service was really slow and it was not that busy.
An actual Irish bar. Irish music plays on the speakers, they have several Irish beers (not just Guinness), and it?s clean with great food! Food includes shepherds pie, bangers and mash, and corned beef with cabbage. Definitely family friendly and they have some great specials through the week with 2 for 1 fish and chips on a Monday night and $5 Irish pints on a Tuesday.
I keep forgetting to post my review about this nice little pub. The decor of the place is a pub ???????? ???? but on to the food, my husband heard about the fish and chips here, and he knows I love a good fish and chips ???? ???? ???????? when I ordered the fish ???? I was expecting to see like you normally get, the cod shaped fish that you see at other places, boy was I wrong. When she placed the food in front of me I was like, wow that's a whole fish ???? and dove right in, the batter was nice and crispy but not too crispy, just the right crisp. The fish was so good and easy to eat ???? I enjoyed the fries that came with it but I didn't really like the coleslaw. My only complaint about the fish was the batter fell off ???? lol I wish it stayed on it but I still devoured the food ???? our appetizer was fried corned beef cabbage eggrolls, it was ok but I should have taken a picture of my husband's burger ???? he had the Jameson burger and I took a bite of it and my taste buds where so happy at the flavor that burger has ???? but we will back someday cause I love my fried fish ????
Fun place with indoor bar seating and outside porch seating. The outdoor booths are wide fitting! The indoors has a lot of high tops . Great music and chill environment. Our server Hillary was real sweet and attentive. The curry was quite good and it's the best Monte Cristo I've had in a long time! They have happy hour fare. Oh, and they validate parking!
