Some of the dishes were somewhat bland. The risotto was a little dry. The white wine sauce masked the prawns' flavours. Salmon was tender and wonderful. The pork had a wonderful aftertaste. Service was friendly and thoughtful. Would recommend if you're in the neightbouring city. Wouldn't recommend travelling further than that. View all feedback.
What Diner doesn't like about The Peasant The Pear:
This review reflects the overall experience as a result of service experience. Even though our server seemed nice it felt forced. We get these looks from the manager and overheard comments which made us feel like we were not good enough to be served there. Maybe because we weren 't dressed fancy or of a different race? Been to many restaurants and never felt quite like this here. It is unfortunate that the profession... View all feedback.
Their $17.00 roasted chicken wings were terrible. No meat on the bone, overcook and dry. Manager pretty much ignored our complaint. Will not be going back.
Terrible. Came in and sat for 5 minutes before they even came to give us water. Took our order and got 2 appetizers. Came out within 15 minutes. But took another 1.5 hrs to get our entrées. Looked around and all the other 3 couples after us, who came about 20-25 mintues after us got their food before ours, and we all left and paid at the same time. Other people got their food within 10-15 minutes of ordering their food. Made a comment how we have been waiting for our food for an hour already when the waiter was near, and within 5 minutes the food came to us Luke warm.
Same location where it was called Pizza Antica before. The location in Google maps is incorrect and actual location is across the side street from the parking lot.Good food, very good and friendly service. Try the mushroom pizza, salmon, or chicken dish. They also have $7 sangria specials starting on Thursdays every week. The ambience is friendly and the decor is minimalist. The portions are big. You can see the impact of inflation in the prices. If you pay using the QR code (sends you to Toast) it includes tax for calculating tip percentages, which is not great. Hopefully they fix it.Vegetarian options: They will customizeKid-friendliness: Small selection of usual kids items
We walked in and the hostess told us there were no tables available even though only one table in the entire restaurant was occupied and everything else was empty. We were given the option to sit at the bar or outside when it was raining hard. We sat at the bar but I felt like I had been cheated so I called the restaurant on my mobile phone from the bar and the hostess told me that the restaurant was open seating and that tables were available if I walked in and that they only accept reservations for parties of 5+. This made me feel very disappointed and I went up to her and asked her if she could sit us at a table to which she flatly told us no table is available even though I could see at least half the restaurant still had empty tables.By that time my partner had ordered the Tuscan white bean bacon and kale soup which was very watery and lacked flavor. We paid and left but won’t be returning to this place for sureThe city of Danville will not be getting my business anytime soon if ever!
