"An awesome hidden gem off the main road! We had lunch and then was back for more for dinner! The pad thai was super authentic, along with the massaman Beef. For an entree size and priced Tomyum (perfect spice level) and Prawn salad was very worth it! Quite large servings especially 2 mains for a family of 3. Rice portions are big and the customer service is good. Busy restaurant, so make sure you book early and fast! (Many people were declined to eat in due to the high volume of bookings)."

"What a pleasant surprise to stumble across Hometown Cafe whilst travelling through Lithgow. Everything about this cafe is an absolute delight beginning with the welcoming smiles as you enter. Food options are great and everything served was fresh. Most importantly, the coffee was first class! Hometown cafe is well worth taking a detour for. 5 stars"

"Stayed two nights. Hotel is still wonderfully renovated and characterful, but overall sadly I feel corners have been cut on the rest of the service experience. Both in terms of staffing, service level and restaurant quality. We felt the prices are too high. Had dinner in the Wintergarden restaurant. It wasn 't at all busy on a Friday night, but we waited about 15 mins to place our order. The restaurant was cold, especially by the window. A nearby table asked if heating could be turned up, and were told it wasn 't possible. Dishes were a brave attempt at fine dining, but arrived a bit cold. The bar by the red room was closed the entire weekend. There 's no fresh coffee provided at breakfast. You have to queue at the coffee machine. I think it could do with new management with an eye for detail to make the experience more befitting the considerable price. Rooms: 3 Service: 2 Location: 4"

"What a gorgeous environment and place to visit Blackheath general store cafe!! The breakfast and coffee I had was delicious, I went back the next day and had the scrumptious scones too. Staff were very warm and accommodating to our family. Gifts on display are lovely too, Including soaps, kids pencils, bags, kitchenware and more."
