What simmondsi likes about Shalimar:
This is our local Indian and we return regularly. This time I tried chicken pakora as a starter and it was excellent, especially with some mango chutney. Vindaloo is not as thick (or spicy) as you get in the UK say, but still tasty with fresh ginger on top. On a previous visit I found out they get hit for ridiculous 13% fees on credit cards so do them a favour and pay in cash. Recommended. read more.

What MissMayG doesn't like about Shalimar:
This place was such a disappointment.... Went with really average expectations and couldn 't eat my food. Starter was a salad which was nice but then we got the main course which was lamb curry the meat was 50% fat and when i said i can 't eat it i was not offered to replace it with another dish, just heard oh well from the waiter.
