Firstly, if you search by the name Benne Dosa restaurant, several restaurants show up. Full name is Sri Guru Kottureshwara Butter Dosa Hotel. It is bang opposite JJM Medical college. Visited on Sunday morning enroute Hubli from Bangalore. Take a detour into the town and ask for directions. We were taken aback by the huge rush and had to wait 45 minutes before being served. The restaurant is a bit small, but the delicious taste of the food outweighs any other factor. The crispy Benne Dose served with a generous amount of flavorful chutney makes Gurukoteshwara a great spot for breakfast, especially for travelers heading to Goa. Finding parking for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers on the road is easy.
This is the best Benne Dosa restaurant in Davangere. The dosas here are fantastic and very tasty. It is located near Dental College Road. The breakfast in the morning is excellent, especially the Benne dosas. I highly recommend everyone to try the dosas here.
Nice dosa.. But for foreigners this is not a restaurant that u can eat and hangout there while chatting with your friends for few hours.. They just serve u warm water only. There is no coffee or tea.. People usually waiting for their turn. So, after u eat u must go to counter for pay.. U can't sit there simply.
It is one of the oldest and the most popular food joint of Davangere. The speciality of South which is Dosa is the main and only food available. What's special here is the process and serving of Dosa. You can feel the aroma of burning coconut and white butter almost around the area. If you are visiting davangere or just passing by then this is must to have. Located in students education area surrounded by Dental, Medical, Enigneering colleges and hostels. Serving Local and Famous Benne Dosa that is White Butter Dosa. The big and thick platform with burning coconut and ghee as the source of heat for almost 8-10 benne dosa at a time. Little liquid batter on white butter base and again white butter on top to make softer and light benne dosa. What makes it heavy is butter and potato serving aside with white coconut chutney. Calm and sufficient seating restaurant filled with aromatic burning coconut and buttery aroma. Price for single serving is ₹ 35 and double serving is ₹ 70.
