Fantastic transformation refurbishment. Has retained the charm of the historic building but had a much needed de-clutter and smarten-up. Lunch was excellent and the garden and courtyard are just as nice as I remember. Great place to go in any weather and staff management were friendly and welcoming. What K doesn't like about Fox Hounds At Althorp Coaching Inn:
Visited on reopening and again recently. The more mature lady in the restaurant was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about both menu and drinks. However bar staff were lounging on the bar talking to each other and seemed uninterested unless you are a regular. Bar tables not clean. We were served a bottle of Barolo at £45.00, dusty straight from the cellar cold with no apology. Disappointed to say the least... View all feedback.
Great pub, wish this was my local! Even though it was a very busy father's day, the food and service were good. Very dog friendly too, which was a real bonus.
